About UP

UPSHIA.COM has been a lot of things since launching in 2014, but the mission has never changed: Uplift Shiawassee.

There's long been a hole for fun, fresh, quality, accessible Christian music on the radio, and now we're doing something about it.

UP plays the HOTTEST new Christian pop, rock and hip-hop tracks. And we also splash in some classic throwbacks.

Plus we've got a LOCAL voice and NO A.I.!

Longtime mid-Michigan radio personality, Josh Strickland, is now on UP!

Originally from Durand, Josh Strickland now lives in Michigan's North Country after a few years in South Georgia. “Strickland” and family, which includes three Alpena Wildcats and three dogs, are thrilled to be back home with family and snow. (Mostly it’s the family part though.) The Stricklands are excited to be making Northeast Michigan home, and Josh Strickland, a multiple Michigan Association of Broadcasters award winner, is ready to play Today’s Christian Music for you, every day on UP - THE STREAM.
